Conditions of rental

 

Deposit

A reservation will only be confirmed once the rental deposit has been received (30% of the total rental amount). The outstanding balance and total rental amount must be paid 30 days before your arrival date. For reservations less than 30 days before the arrival date, the total rental amount must be paid upon reservation.

 

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation, more than 90 days before the arrival date, the deposit will be fully refunded.

In the event of cancellation, 90 days before the arrival date, 10% of the deposit remains with the host.

In the event of cancellation, 60 days before the arrival date, 20% of the deposit remains with the host.

In the event of cancellation, 30 days before the arrival date, the full deposit will remain with the hosts.

In the event of cancellation, 14 days before the arrival date, 50% of the full booking fees will remain with the hosts.

In the event of cancellation, Less than 14 days before the arrival date, full booking fees will remain with the hosts.

In the event of a shortened stay, the price of the rental remains in full with the host.

Travel insurance is recommended.

 

Arrival and departure

Gites de Calvet will be available between 1500pm and 1900pm for late arrivals or unforeseen circumstances, please contact us on the number provided on the booking confirmation. Please note that the gite and facilities will not be available to guests until the times stated.

On the day of departure, we kindly ask that you vacate by 1000am.

 

Tourist tax

Tourist tax is collected by the host on behalf of the municipality of Montcuq en Quercy Blanc, if you are booking directly this is added to the total cost of the rental, bookings made on our external booking site, the tourist tax is not added and will be taken upon arrival at gites de calvet.

 

Security deposit

A security deposit of €300 will be taken as part of the rental agreement, this is to cover any possible damage or loss. The security deposit will be refunded once the hosts are satisfied that no damage or loss has occurred. All guests are responsible for damages or loss caused by you or your children. It is therefore advised to obtain insurance to cover such risks. Please inform the hosts in the first instance so that any issues can be resolved.

 

General

• Only guests with reservations are permitted to stay and use the facilities at Gites de Calvet.
• Please respect the tranquillity of the neighbourhood and keep noise to a minimum, no loud music or parties.
• For the safety of everyone, guests are asked to keep vehicle speeds to a minimum within the limits of Gite de Calvet and the local neighbourhood.
• All guests are responsible for loss or damage to the Gites or outside guest areas. It is therefore advised to obtain insurance to cover such risks. In the event of any damage being caused, please inform the hosts as soon as possible so that any issues can be resolved swiftly.
• During your stay, guests have access to the estate, less the private areas. Please respect these areas, this is for our privacy & your safety.

 

The Gites

• On arrival, your hosts will leave an inventory of the gites fixtures, fittings & furniture out for you to view, please go through this and inform us of any missing or damaged items the following day. Your hosts will carry out an inventory again at the end of your stay.
• Please leave the accommodation in a state of cleanliness, this includes washing dishes, emptying the fridge/freezer and disposing of waste.
• PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE: smoking is not permitted in the accommodation, guests wishing to smoke are to do so in the outside guest areas and are to dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.
• DISPOSING OF WASTE: Guests are responsible for recycling and removing their waste in the bins provided. It is recommended that waste is disposed of periodically during their stay.
• Please turn off electrical appliances and lights, and close windows/skylights (storms are sometimes unexpected) when travelling during your stay and on the day of departure.
• When you leave, please remove the duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases.
• Water heating and electric charges are included in the rental price, for normal use. In the event of abnormally high consumption, charges may be re-invoiced to guests.

 

The pool

• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult in the pool area at all times.
• Glass is strictly prohibited from the pool area.
• The pool gate must be closed at all times.

 

Guest outside areas

• For their safety, young children are to be supervised in the exterior guest area and forest.
• Please do not litter in the exterior areas & forest.
• Please tidy the guest area and clean the BBQ before departure.

 

We reserve the right to withhold all or part of the security deposit should we find any breakages or damage to the gite, guest areas or pool.
